Sunshine and Rain

I think I've figured out the reason why legends about Ireland always include so many rainbows: when it rains here, there is usually still sunshine. And that, of course, makes for lovely rainbows. Today was another one of those sunny, rainy days, although thankfully it wasn't raining whenever I went outside. I didn't see any rainbows, but I'm sure there were some.

Today was the usual Monday: three classes, all with the same professor; several hours of writing an essay on campus (I couldn't get a seat in the library, so I ended up in the Archaeology Library after some professor felt bad that I was just sitting in the hall and let me in); leftovers for supper; relax for a bit; and then game night. We had 16 people at one point, but about 11 or 12 were there the whole time I was. We played Apples to Apples again, although it's not quite as fun with so many people, then Twister. Good times and lots of new people to meet.

Wow. Those two paragraphs basically sum up my entire day. I did get some groceries today, although the store was out of potatoes (in Ireland?!), so I'll have to go back tomorrow perhaps and see if they've stocked up. I'm on campus forever tomorrow, so I think I'll just pack lunch and supper and just find a corner somewhere to write some more of this second paper. So far I've got 1200 out of the required 2000 words, but have yet to get to the main point...I have a feeling that will be a problem...

Tomorrow I can pay the balance left on my trip to Wales, then that will be official and I can start getting nervous about spending a week with a group of people, none of whom I know. Ahh.

I think I'm off to bed now. My roommate is out, so she'll probably wake me up when she comes in--which means that as much sleep that I can get now, the better. Guess it's karma, though, since I need to get up early and shower.

Good night!
