My Husband?

Hold up now--don't get all freaked out by that. I've just been spending so much time in the library lately that I feel like it's my spouse or something. Today I was camped out there for six hours in between classes. I got a lot done, but wow I'm glad I'm taking tomorrow off from visiting campus.

Today was good anyway. Kicki, the crazy teacher from my 4 o'clock class, gave us some hints about the exam questions since so many people were missing because of RAG week. I suppose that's a bit mean, but hey--for those of us who were there, it was sure nice. I actually happened to find an old copy of the test from 3 years ago online too, so I can study it and maybe some of the questions will be the same or similar.

I tried this new drink today while I was in the library. It's called Lucozade, and everyone here drinks it in place of soda (well, they drink soda too, but they don't call it that--and they've never heard of root beer or cream soda or some others! I was so shocked). I figured I had to try it at least once before leaving. Well, let's just say I wasn't impressed by the "original" flavor, although maybe I'll try the orange and citrus one sometime. It is this carbonated energy drink, or as it says, "sparkling glucose" drink. Yeah. Imagine slightly-flavored seltzer water. Oy vey.

Alice, Courtney, Miriam, and I finalized travel plans for this weekend tonight. We will be taking the ferry to Inis Mor, the biggest of the three Aran Islands, tomorrow evening and staying the night. On Saturday we'll wake up and rent bikes so we can try to see everything on the island before we float back over that night. We have to walk to the travel office tomorrow to buy the tickets, but otherwise everything is all set. We called the hostel and they will have room for us, so it should be a fun little trip! I'm definitely going over budget again this week, but it'll be worth it. Apparently the islands have almost an entirely different climate from the mainland--everyone keeps warning us to bring sunblock because we'll get burnt otherwise. I was planning on wearing lots of layers, but maybe I should try not to overheat myself!

I didn't go rock climbing today because my shoes are not really suitable and I forgot to look for a different pair, and we didn't go pubbing (well, at least I didn't, but I can't speak for anyone since they usually seem to go anyway after they leave me). Instead I stayed here and watched the first Princess Diaries movie on YouTube and the Psych season finale and pilot episodes. So good!

Off to bed soon, with promises to wear out my camera this weekend! Good night.
