Oh boy. It's been a long two weeks. Fun, yes, but especially the traveling to and from the U.K. was tiring.
I'll post all of the entries for the trip tomorrow or Sunday hopefully, but the basic gist of it was that I met up with my cousins in Wales, stayed at their house their for a couple days, then stayed at their other house in England for another week. They are really sweet and very indulgent, so I got to see lots of the interesting sites around both areas.
But hey, let's just talk about today so I can sleep already. :)
I left Martha and Jack in England yesterday at 4:30 p.m., then caught the 2:45 a.m. ferry to Ireland. That was...interesting...There was an old drunk Irish man who stalked me for a while on the ferry; he was trying to tell me good places where we could find spots to sleep...apparently it's too noisy next to the arcade. Who knew? Luckily, I found a corner away from him and got some sleep. The key word there is some, because of the Crying Baby. Oh yes, it deserves capital letters, the little fraud. There was nothing to cry about, but there you are.
Anyway, enough crankiness. After that I caught a series of three buses to get back to Galway, then came back here and had the loveliest, longest shower ever. Let me tell you, it was needed--I hadn't had a razor around in two weeks, and the only way I stayed awake all day today was because of all the water in my face. It's catching up to me now, though.
The rest of the day was just grocery shopping, eating while doing nothing, and organizing my room. I packed the smaller of my two suitcases in preparation for the flight in three weeks, and I'll be amazed if the zipper doesn't break by then. It seems like I barely made a dent in the piles of stuff here, but hopefully most of the rest will fit in my other case. I think the biggest problem is the really large pile of books I've collected--but of course you all know that I'd rather leave clothes or food behind than books. Duh. Just cross your fingers for me!
I don't know if I will be changing the date of my ticket to return home, especially since I can't get in contact with the girl who was going to let me crash at her place for a week. I'm going to call the airline tomorrow and see if I can fix the computer problem, then decide. I won't lie and say I'd rather not go home--I don't mind staying for three more weeks, but I'm ready to be home already.
So that's basically today. I've got to go fold some laundry, then it's definitely a long sleep for me. I'd like to get up early to go to the market and buy a couple thank-yous, but otherwise tomorrow is low-key too. Email me if you're feeling bored too!
Good night!
