Yup, I actually had some today. I applied for two more internships (after doing two applications yesterday), read some articles for class tomorrow, picked my final essay topic for Women's Studies, mailed some postcards and an application, did laundry, and bought groceries. Even with all that, I can still go to bed early. Basically, today was lovely.
It hasn't rained in a couple days, but it did today. Once again, though, I got lucky and had a lovely day--every time I was inside it rained, but got sunny enough for sunglasses when I had to walk outside. I think I was expecting it to rain more here, but it's a lot like Rhode Island. I never have the right shoes on when it rains, and my umbrella is always in my room, so that's a lot like going to school at URI too!
Four days until Paris! We haven't gotten the itinerary yet still, but I'm going to start thinking of places I'd like to visit during our brief hours of free time. I also am getting antsy because we haven't traveled anywhere for the past two weekends, so I looked up some hostels in Cork for the following weekend. I don't know if it'd be possible to swing by several cities in two days, but we can at least get out and see some more of Ireland, one city at a time. Now I've just got to convince Alice to go with me.
Whenever I'm downstairs, I turn on the TV to try to watch the Olympics, but they are on really sporadically here. It's a lot different from the States, where ESPN shows them constantly and other channels have them on throughout the day. Here they are only broadcasted for a few hours, and even then it's from the BBC, not an Irish channel. I guess they only have 11 athletes competing, so maybe it's not such a big deal here. I do miss watching it, though! I hope ice skating is on so I can watch that...my favorite!
Since I'm going to stop going to chorus, tomorrow won't be quite as long as it normally is--I'll get to come home at 5 p.m. instead of 8 p.m. That means I only have to pack lunch, not supper too, and I get to relax a bit here before doing some homework. I think I'll like that.
That's really about it for today...good night!
