We were warned when we came here that it would be rainy most of the time, that our feet would be wet at least once a day, that the Irish people just deal with it and we'll stick out like sore thumbs with our rainboots and umbrellas and heavy-duty raincoats. I still brought all of that, and yes I look American, but after today I can be thankful that I did. It was sunny in the morning, sprinkling on the way to the grocery store, and hailing while we were inside the store. After five minutes of snow, it stopped and got sunny again, but of course that left the ground covered in white stuff. And just now it downpoured. The clouds just can't make up their minds here, honestly.
When I went for a walk today, however, it was still nice. At least I didn't get rained on then. Besides that, today was quite tame. I got a couple rejection emails from internships, including the one I really really wanted, so that sucked. I watched How to Train Your Dragon, booked a bunch of hostels with Alice and Courtney for our trip in a week, and otherwise just had another lazy, peaceful day. Well, except for that internship part.
I got my stuff for the potluck supper on Sunday. Rather than meeting at 6 like we normally do and just eating then leaving, we're getting together at 3 to cook the meal together. I bought nachos and Easter candy to have while we wait, and then we'll have supper and dessert after we hang out. I like the sound of it.
Tomorrow I need to make up all of the studyguides for my last two finals so I can have them with me on the next few trips, but other than that I have no definite plans. Probably another walk, as long as the weather plays nice. And definitely make sure I have all of the information that I need about the various steps and parts of my upcoming trips. It would stink to get to a city and not know the street name of the hostel.
So that's the plan. Eight weeks from tomorrow, I'll be home. Crazy, but I'm kind of ready. I hate to say that...but it's true. In the meantime, I'll hopefully enjoy the rest of my stay and traveling.
Good night.
